Drawing inspiration from nature, art, travel, and history, Galen creates environments that tell a story, reflect timeless beauty, and embody a deep respect for architectural integrity.

A graduate of Georgetown University and Parsons School of Design, Galen honed her expertise at top design firms in New York before founding her practice in 2022. She also served as Head Interior Designer for an award-winning architecture firm in Rhode Island. Galen resides in Newport with her husband, daughter, and their black lab, Moose.

Associate Designer
Emily joined the Haas Design team in 2023, bringing a passion for creativity and New England’s coastal style. With a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University and a background as a varsity athlete, she excels in teamwork and collaboration. Emily specializes in 3D modeling, drafting, and space planning, creating thoughtful, functional designs that blend clients’ visions with seaside living. Outside of work, she resides with her family in Wakefield, RI.
Lela Barclay de Tolly
Assistant Interior Designer
Lela, with a BFA in Furniture Design from RISD, combines her background in fine art and spatial design to create immersive environments. After honing her craft in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, she now specializes in curating diverse elements—from furniture to textiles—to craft cohesive, artistic interiors. Based in Middletown, RI, Lela draws inspiration from nature, painting, and gardening to bring a personal touch to every project.
